Q. What is a Boy Scouts? |

social education program shich teaches young boys about nature and self-relliance. - It is an International social education program aimed at training youths to be self-reliant and respect nature. It is also an inportant aim to build character in the youths and create a xell-balanced individual by educatonal methods which emphasize children's natural curiosity. |

| This activity is for several
hours on Saturday or Sunday. Children learn and play merrily, so it is
helpful to reorient themselves psycologically and also children can develop
their concentration, autonomy and cooperativeness. - |

Q. When did Boy Scouts start? |

| A. A big movement started from small camping. | |
|

It started from camping at Brownsee Island in England in 1907. This
cmping is the first experience full of dreams and adventure for boys. Lord
Brden Powell who had veen interested in education problems of boys for same
time, sponsored this camping, and wrot "Scouting for Boys" based on
the his experience of this camping. He explained that it was important for
children to take the leadership and develop hteir independence and
cooperativeness through playing while camping, nature watching and proup
games are good for displaying children's cxcellent adventurous spirits and
curiasities. Scout means pioneer and Boy Scout means boy who is just in the
vanguard of the development of society and the first to creat his own
happiness.

Q. Do the various uniforms have meaning? |

| A. Uniforms are separated by 5 groups. | |
| Boy Scouts consist of 5 sections and separated vy age. Similar to an education system, it has steps from elementary school to nuivercity. Each scout strives for scout activities by program of activity according to step of the growth of each age. | |
